THE ROCK STORIE'S

KRZYSZTOF KRAWCZYK

I think Elliott Erwitt perfectly defines that:
“Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” I identify with this quote in 100%.

Where are you from?

Poland, Belchatow

Before being a photographer, tell us what you wanted to be?

As a kid I always wanted to be a football player then becoming a football coach and after my engagement happened …. a Photographer.

Tell me about the moment you decided to become a photographer?

I started my adventure with photography after my engagement at the end of 2012. At that moment I was still looking for my place on Earth. After see in photos of my own engagament photoshoot I was shocked ! It was that moment I foundwhat I was looking for in life. I wanted to become a photographer!

What was the best advise you received when you started your photographer carrier?

Don’t follow the trends, don’t try being like others. Be your self and take photos which you like.

Can you define photography?

I think Elliott Erwitt perfectly defines that:
“Photography is an art of observation. It has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” I identify with this quote in 100%.

For you, what makes a good photographer?

A good photographis a combination of the perfect moment, the perfect light and unconventional frame.

For you, what makes a good photograph?

A good photo for me always is the one that captures an emotion. When a picture gets to you and leaves you with a good sentiment and a message then you reached your goal.

What is your biggest challenge today?

As a freelancer I’m constantly trying to find a good balance between giving my time to the family, which expanded recently and my work and trips connected with it.

Tell us about the day you felt most proud about your work?

There were lots of them! The best reward for what I do for my clients is always a positive feedback and luckily for me – I can hear it quite often.

Tell us about the relationship you have with other photographers? How important you feel that is.

I think my relationship with other photographers is great, we can talk about lots of matters …. Work, family, sharing experience, we meet at different events. I think it’s crucial for a photographer to be socially active.

Can you tell us an advise - photography or business tip - that somehow made your career evolve at any point?

I alwayssay …. Let’s do our thing.  Let’s create our own trends and  follow our own path.
The break through in my career came after the publication of one of my photographs in Polish edition of Digital Camera, after that my career launched like a rocket!
