The good photographer for me is the one who insists and persists every moment. He is the one who is bothered with his own photography, always intending to seek improvement, continuous improvement of his work, with his unique and intuitive look.

Before being a photographer, tell us what you wanted to be?

As a child, I wanted to be an actor. Act in novels and movies.

Tell me about the moment you decided to become a photographer?

I already liked photography, but it was in the year 2010, when I joined the journalism faculty, I learned to love this profession and started to photograph social events and marriages as a freelancer

What was the best advise you received when you started your photographer carrier?

I improved my photography with one of the most experienced photographers in the city and I understood that each one had a way of looking and was unique. I was restless about it and it was when my mother told me that I had to be myself, take my look and filter only what would add me value

Can you define photography?

Photography is like our very existence, like our own life, where singularity is present in every image. It is unique and at the same time mysterious, it needs to be unveiled at all times.

For you, what makes a good photographer?

For you, what makes a good photograph?

Good photography is when the sender, the photographer manages to pass the message he wants through his work, consciously and meaningfully recording the moment.

What is your biggest challenge today?

Both mine and most professionals are the search for recognition. Not the recognition of just having a great job, but that recognition for our identity, for the person we are and what we really want to convey to the lovers of this art. It is to overcome and convince those people that photography is free and needs to be more respected, because it depends on the vision of each one, of each look. The challenge is to break paradigms and undo that mentality that most have that the best job is just ours.

Tell us about the day you felt most proud about your work?

That’s when I participated and won an award in a “marathon photograph”. It was a photography contest where we had to photograph for a short time a surprise theme and without the condition of editing. The photo had to be raw, without going through the image treatment. And when many ran and walked miles to get a good picture, I simply went to the backyard of my house and photographed the hands of my late grandmother. Hands marked by a trajectory suffered. A simple photo but with a beautiful story behind it

Tell us about the relationship you have with other photographers? How important you feel that is.

Today I have a mentality where respect is and always will be the word of the time. I have great relationships with professionals who think the same way I do. People who constantly want to change, transform and walk together with other people in the same direction of knowledge. In this way, it strengthens our class and everyone helps to maintain a good relationship, always with a view to learning.

Can you tell us an advise - photography or business tip - that somehow made your career evolve at any point?

I say what I still do today. Never think we know everything and always respect the other professional’s vision. Sometimes certain works will not please us, but it does not give us the condition of just criticizing and comparing ourselves with others and with our work. It’s cool to always look for groups or people who think the same way we do. So, growth is the same and everyone can get where they want. Post jobs consistently on social networks. I consider social networks as one of the best schools to observe, learn and innovate our work. Have a network of relationships where you can suggest, criticize and be criticized without losing respect. Be harmonious with yourself and accept: we never know everything. Be constantly open to accept ideas and tips. So we grow and we can teach what we learn.
